汽轮机通常采用定－滑－定启动模式。汽轮机启动阶段，锅炉燃烧率维持不变。汽轮机所需的启动蒸汽压力由旁路系统控制，维持不变。蒸汽温度由锅炉温控系统控制，维持不变。机组并网带负荷且旁路阀全关后，逐渐增加锅炉燃烧率，蒸汽升温、升压，滑参数加负荷。正常运行时，可由汽机或锅炉维持蒸汽压力不变，锅炉温控系统维持蒸汽温度不变，通过改变汽机的调门、锅炉燃烧率和给水量，以满足电网对发电机功率的要求。

在ATC方式下，若机组的某些主要运行参数超出正常范围，系统将发出报警信号及保持指令。若热应力计算有效，系统将给出建议的负荷率。

1)      升速控制

根据机组热状态，可控制机组全自动按经验曲线完成升速率设置、暖机、过临界转速区，直到3000r/min定速。操作员可通过修改目标转速、升速率或按保持按钮，对升速过程进行手动控制。在ATC方式下，系统根据机组热应力及机组运行参数，可自动给出保持指令，以控制启动过程。

2)      同期并网

DEH可与自动准同期装置配合，将机组转速调整到与电网同步的转速，以便迅速完成并网操作。并网时，发电机自动带上初负荷。

3)      负荷控制

机组并网后，系统可在阀控、功控、压控及CCS方式间无扰切换。

在阀控方式下，可设置目标阀位和阀位变化率，改变汽轮机调节阀的开度，从而调整机组负荷。
