从不同的角度有很多种分类方法。按炉型分类可分为 固定炉排炉、机械炉排炉、流化床焚烧炉(主要用来处理工业垃圾)、回转窑炉等。为增强生活垃圾焚烧的效果，经常在焚烧中应用热分解和气化(熔融)技术。利用焚烧炉进行无害化处理的操作步骤：
1、注入燃料，接通电源，启动助燃开关，炉内温度达到自燃温度，将病害畜禽肉尸及其产品投入炉内，关闭助燃开关，启动自燃开关，病害肉体保持自燃状态不能剖割的病害畜禽尸体整体投入焚烧炉中，启动自燃开关，尸体自燃至*碳化为止。
2、整尸焚毁：不能剖割的病害畜禽尸体整体投入焚烧炉中，启动自燃开关，尸体自燃至*碳化为止。
3、肉尸分割焚毁：允许分割的病害肉品分割后投入焚烧炉中，启动自燃开关，肉块自燃至*碳化为止。
4、脏器焚毁：病害畜禽脏器整体投入焚烧炉中，启动助燃开关，使脏器在助燃状态下燃烧至*碳化为止。
5、焚烧后的碳化物需要选择地点（远离水源地和居民区）进行掩埋，杜绝病菌的传播。

4. Organ burning: the diseased livestock and poultry organs are put into the incinerator as a whole, and the combustion supporting switch is started to make the organs burn in the combustion supporting state until they are completely carbonized.
5. The burned carbides need to be buried in places far away from water sources and residential areas to prevent the spread of pathogens.
